Launch Event & What's New!
Book Launch
On November 9th, Jeb Wyman was joined by five of the storytellers from What They Signed Up For: True Stories by Ordinary Soldiers at the West Seattle American Legion Post 160. A big thank you them for hosting our event and making sure everything was squared away!
Mr. Wyman introduced the book project, the names of each storyteller from the book, and the title of each story. He then turned it over to the storytellers themselves who each read a heartfelt excerpt from their stories. The stories were well received by the audience and at times got emotional.
After the readings, the audience had the opportunity to engage these veterans in a live question and answer session, which was then followed up by a book signing. It was a successful event and we raised some money to go towards our next book printing.
Donations
We are in the process of setting up our nonprofit's bank account and when that happens, we'll be able to start accepting donations online. In the mean time, if you'd like to make a donation please email us and we'll make arrangements on how you can do that. We'd certainly be grateful.
Coming Up
Mark your calendars!! We're happy to announce the next event will be on January 18th at Third Place Books in Seward Park. Check out the event details on our website or over at our Facebook page.
Books are Great Christmas Presents!
It's that time of year again and you know what makes a good gift? Yep. You guessed it. If you want to get this book for a friend or a loved one, now is the time to place your order. Luckily for you it's getting easier to find get a hold of. Not only is it offered through our publisher Blue Ear Books and Amazon, but it can also be found locally (in the Seattle area) at all Third Place Book locations! How cool is that!? Remember, this is a nonprofit project and all proceeds from sales fund books for vets and future printings.
